Graphics Tutorials Lesson 05 – Matrix Transformations and the Homogeneous Coordinate System

This video shows the matrix representation of the previous video’s algebraic expressions for performing linear transformations. It is necessary to introduce the homogeneous coordinate system in which points and vectors are represented with an additional w component. This allows translations to be represented with a matrix. I also discuss the difference between row major and column major forms as well as an example problem.
